Jinko ESS, a global leader in energy storage and a subsidiary of JinkoSolar Co., Ltd., has recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a key partner in Latin America, covering a portfolio of energy storage projects with a total capacity of 1 GWh. These projects are primarily applied in grid-side and utility-scale energy storage scenarios, aiming to enhance the flexibility and stability of grid operations. Leveraging its continuously improving local service system, Jinko ESS will work closely with local partners to advance subsequent work and provide strong support for the smooth implementation of the projects.

The projects are expected to adopt Jinko ESS’s SunTera G3 6.25 MWh battery energy storage system. This solution is systematically designed around safety, capacity and economics. In terms of safety, the system incorporates a full-chain active safety framework covering cell, electrical and system levels, combined with gas detection and AI-based intelligent early warning capabilities, enabling early identification of and rapid response to potential risks. In terms of capacity and application adaptability, the system adopts high-energy-density cells with an optimised thermal management design, achieving a large capacity of 6.25 MWh per cabinet, which can meet the demands of large-scale storage projects and accommodate diverse application scenarios. In terms of economics, the product delivers a 5.8% improvement in overall project returns through full life-cycle optimisation, while effectively reducing O&M costs, providing customers with superior LCOE performance and long-term value.
